Wednesday, 5 May 2010 @ 10:36, by Kiran Kairab Ferrandino

A few weeks ago, I started my Insight on Insight series.  (This is a supplement to the already informative Insight related blog that my colleague and friend, Michael Halbrook, Insight Guru Extraordinaire, is also writing).

But I have been wanting to … Read more »

Thursday, 15 April 2010 @ 13:35, by Kiran Kairab Ferrandino

It’s everywhere.
Sometimes, it feels like IT’S ALL ANYONE TALKS ABOUT ANYMORE.
Social Media.
And you and your company are bringing your A-Game, yes you are.
So let’s see.

I love my job.
I really do.
I’m not just saying this in case my bosses read this.
Maybe not the part about getting up early.  Or having to travel sometimes when I would rather not.

Wednesday, 7 April 2010 @ 13:20, by Kiran Kairab Ferrandino

I am going to tell you a little something about myself.
(Huddle in close. It’s a secret.)

In a former life, I was a musician.  And I sang in a rock cover band in the DC area.
I sang and played guitar and did my best to dance around on a tight stage in the middle of … Read more »

Dear Negative Stakeholder

Monday, 11 January 2010 @ 15:05, by Kiran Kairab Ferrandino

Dear Negative Stakeholder,
How are you?  It’s been way too long since we last chatted!  I know that you are probably not happy that I am calling you “negative.”  “What’s up with that?,” you are thinking.
I am a very positive person, you might even think.  “I used to be a cheerleader!” you may say.  “Or, I … Read more »

Once Upon An Implementation

Thursday, 10 December 2009 @ 12:50, by Kiran Kairab Ferrandino

Once upon an Analytics implementation, in a land known as Smooth Sailing, there lived an Omniture Project Manager.  This Omniture Project Manager had traveled to a distant land to meet a new client with whom she would embark on an Analytics Journey.  On this journey, she took with her some brave and knowledgeable resources from … Read more »

A Sandwich is a Sandwich – or is it? “Owning Your Business Requirements”

Thursday, 16 July 2009 @ 9:39, by Kiran Kairab Ferrandino

I am not the easiest person to live with.   I think my husband would be the first to tell you.  And while I am at home on bed rest in the final stages of pregnancy – I think the high maintenance factor could be a little higher than normal, even for me.   But my current … Read more »

No Free Lunch – Embracing the Analytics “Journey”

Tuesday, 7 July 2009 @ 11:18, by Kiran Kairab Ferrandino

My old high school Cross-Country Coach, Walter Miller, used to tell us (usually around our 6th mile at 6:45 AM in the morning), “There is no such thing as a free lunch!” While I did not always understand what Mr. Miller was yelling at me from the confines of his cushy minivan on these torturous … Read more »
