Bakers Shoes builds Mobile Commerce foundation
Monday, 18 July 2011 @ 14:28, by Ray Pun
Mobile Commerce Daily recently featured Bakers Shoes and their success in reaching mobile shoppers via a Mobile Optimized Website:

As part of their mobile strategy, the client uses Adobe SiteCatalyst for mobile analytics and Adobe Recommendations to drive conversions on their mobile website.
Some key takeaways:
- Bakers Shoes leveraged data from SiteCatalyst to understand the number of mobile visitors from Smartphone devices to their standard website
- After seeing a “spike” in traffic in the Summer of 2010, they made a decision to invest in a mobile optimized website that would provide a much improved mobile shopping experience across device platforms and integrate with their social media campaigns on Facebook.
- To drive conversions on both the mobile website and the standard website, they deployed Adobe Recommendations to automatically present related or similar items on the product details page.
- As a result of the solution, Bakers increased average order value by 40% for customers who select recommended products.
